It’s true. At Kelsick Market, we know the customers when they walk through the doors. We know what beer they buy their husbands, what nights they prefer we cook so they can relax and who prefers gluten free snacks. But we want you all to know more about us, too! In this series, we ask the Kelsick team members more about them…things that might not come up when you’re purchasing that bottle of wine or pound of homemade chicken salad for tomorrow’s lunch. Enjoy getting to know us. We’ve enjoyed getting to know you.

‘Inside Kelsick’ with Manager, Megan

The instant you meet Megan you know you’re in the presence of an old soul. With her warm, genuine smile and her eclectic fashion sense, she represents Kelsick Market perfectly. Megan has a fair amount of experience in the food biz, having successfully owned a restaurant in Urbanna before joining the Kelsick team. Her food, beer and wine knowledge is as impressive as her unique tattoos…and she’s just an absolute hoot to talk to.

Here’s a little more insight on Megan!

What are your favorite scents or flavors?

I love the smell of sauteed onions, and the flavor of a hoppy beer, especially beer from Maine Beer Company. I also love the smell of the sea air!

What is your idea of the perfect day?

Kayaking with my husband and dogs.

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Katniss from the Hunger Games because she’s strong and tough.

What is your biggest extravagance?

Buying things for my dogs Taco and Gracie. Everything from fresh fish for their diet to accessories, like right now my Amazon cart has leashes and toys in it.

What talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could sing. It doesn’t stop me from doing it now, but I wish I could do it well.

What do you like about Main Street?

I love the family atmosphere and that everyone is looking out for each other. The business owners really come together and we have great community support, it’s truly amazing.

What has been your favorite journey?

I just got back from visiting my mom in New Mexico and it was magical. Everyone is so friendly and the landscape is beautiful. I also really enjoyed the South of France.

What are three words to describe Megan? (From Sales Associate, Debbie)
