Kelsick Market Wine Walk

Curious about the wines that will be tasted (and available for purchase here at Kelsick Market) at the July 16 Wine Walk in the Gloucester Village? Read on!

Ruffino Prosecco from Tuscany, Italy

Bright straw yellow with fine bubbles. The bouquet is fragrant and intensely fruity. Pairs well with pizza, fish and shellfish dishes as well as white meat dishes.

Cote Mas Cremant Brut from Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Pale yellow with delicate and persistent bubbles. An intense and refined nose of honey, acacia and crystallized lemon. A great balance of sugar and acidity with a long finish.

Hahn Pinot Noir from Central Coast, California

Deeply ruby in color, while the bouquet charms with scents of red cherry, ripe strawberry, cola and spice. On the palate, flavors recalling black plums and black cherry dance upon its soft mouthfeel.

Charles Smith Pinot Grigio from Columbia Valley, Washington

Aromas of cut summer hay. Lychee and passion fruit complement the guava and intense mineral palate. Thirst quenching and complex.

Ferrari Fume Blanc from Sonoma County, California

Delicious aromas of white peach, orange blossom, pear, quince, Meyer lemon and mango complemented by peach, grapefruit, pear and lemon flavors.

Seven Falls Merlot from Columbia Valley, Washington

Dark fruit character, good structure and a rich silky mouthfeel. Pairs well with lamb dishes, smoked meats or fish, pastas with tomato-based sauce, vegetable-based soups, pizza and flatbreads.

Secco Moscato from Veneto, Italy

One of the most refreshing sparkling wines you can find. Expresses white peach, lychee and jasmine aromas; crisp and delightful flavors on the palate.

Cryptic Red Blend from California

Dark red cherry, blackberry and blueberry flavors, notes of toasted hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla on the finish. Its subtle toasty notes and ripe fruit flavors will be enhanced when paired with roasted or grilled meats, hearty pasta dishes or wood-fire oven pizzas.

Snoqualmie Organic Chardonnay from Columbia Valley, California

Crafted with no oak, this wine is a refreshing experience of true Chardonnay varietal characters. Pear and apple nuances accent the nose leading to clean fruit flavors on the palate.

Tom Gore Cabernet from Alexander Valley, California

Dark red in color with aromas of currant, plum, and wonderful hints of mocha and coffee on the palate. Fruit forward with a supple mouthfeel and medium body.

Barboursville Pinot Grigio Piedmont, Virginia

Extremely flavorful, with apple, pear and a touch of pineapple. Dry and well balanced with a glowing and poignant finish.

Barboursville Cabernet from Piedmont, Virginia

Complex and inviting, ripened dark berry fruit woven with currant, cassis, and chocolate notes.
