Kelsick Specialty Market is proud to announce it has named the Gloucester-Matthews Care Clinic the recipient of this month’s KICK BACK Program.
For 25 years and counting, the community has helped support Kelsick Specialty Market and made us your number one go-to for gourmet foods, wine and craft beer. This June we are returning the favor by sharing a portion of our profit with a company that cares in so many ways for our entire community – the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic.
WHAT IS THE KICK BACK PROGRAM?
Each month, through the fall of 2017, we have selected organizations in our community to support through our sales. In April we teamed up with The Samaritan Group, Inc. In May we partnered with the Gloucester-Mathews Human Society and this month (June) we are honored to work with the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic.
ABOUT THE CARE CLINIC
The Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic was inspired by the Abingdon Episcopal Church outreach committee to provide medical care to the “working poor” – those who are employed individuals that cannot afford health insurance. Many of the members of the clinical staff then and now are benevolent volunteers with as passion for serving the community.
Founded in 1998, this non-profit offers uninsured patients dental and clinical attention. To be eligible, patients must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the Middle Peninsula, below the 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and have no insurance.
Donations and volunteers play a large role in the success of the medical and dental services of the clinic. To contribute to the organization’s mission, visit their website at gmfreeclinic.com or, this month, stop by Kelsick Specialty Market to support this month’s KICK BACK Program recipient.
